Last Sunday we prayed Psalm 121: “The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time on and forevermore.” (Vs 7-8) As of Wednesday, March 11, Utah has three confirmed cases of Covid-19, and the World Health Organization has declared that the virus has become a Pandemic. Even with the Pandemic, I still urge us all not to panic.
With that being said, I ask that you please use your best judgment in coming to church. If you do not feel 100%, please stay home. Likewise, if you feel uncomfortable or nervous about coming to church, I urge you to worship at home. (I know of neat Episcopal apps to use for home worship.) Please know we won’t pass the collection plate. The plate will stay in the back of the church to be brought up at the Peace. Use the hand sanitizer. Additionally, we will no longer be taking communion from a common cup.
Finally, remember Jesus took Jarius’ daughter “by the hand and said to her, “Talitha cum,” which means, “Little girl, get up!” And immediately the girl got up and began to walk about (she was twelve years of age). At this they were overcome with amazement. He strictly ordered them that no one should know this, and told them to give her something to eat.” (Mark 5: 41-43)
We will be ok. Tom+
